Catch Master

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy is published by App Machina LLC ("App Machina," "we," "our," or "us"), 26500 Agoura Road, Suite 102-810, Calabasas, CA 91302, United States. App Machina LLC is the developer and publisher named on the Google Play and Apple App Store listings of Catch Master: Fishing Game (bundle and package com.appmachina.catchmaster).

It applies to Catch Master and to this website, playcatchmaster.com. It explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Catch Master is also covered by App Machina's company-wide privacy policy, which says the same about the game.

Information we collect

Catch Master can be played as a guest, with no name or email address. We collect:

  • Device and app identifiers: an identifier derived from your device that lets us keep your game progress, the advertising ID when your device provides one, device model, operating system version, language and app version.
  • Gameplay data: your progress, virtual coin and spin balances, collections, rewards claimed and the results of the rounds you play, stored on our game servers so your progress stays with you.
  • Usage and diagnostic data: screens and features used, session times, performance measurements, crash reports and error logs.
  • Purchase data: the items you buy in the app and the store transaction identifier. Payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we never receive your card details.
  • Approximate location: your country or region, derived from your IP address by our servers and service providers, used for language, pricing and legal compliance. We do not collect precise location.
  • Support messages: your email address and anything you choose to send when you contact us.

How we use your information

  • Running the game: saving progress, delivering rewards and purchases, keeping play fair
  • Measuring and improving performance, stability and game design
  • Measuring which advertising brings players to the game
  • Sending notifications you have opted in to, such as a reward that is ready
  • Answering support requests and meeting our legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Service providers

We work with the following providers, which receive the data described on this page to perform their service for us:

  • Microsoft Azure PlayFab: game servers that hold your progress and balances
  • RevenueCat, Google Play Billing and Apple App Store: purchases and their validation
  • PostHog: game analytics
  • Google Analytics for Firebase and Layers: analytics and advertising measurement, described below
  • Meta (Facebook): Facebook Login and app event measurement, described below
  • Sentry: crash and error reporting
  • Apple and Google: Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, and push notifications through Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging
  • Google User Messaging Platform: the consent form Catch Master shows to players in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland
  • Cloudflare: our content delivery network, which serves game art, the profile photo copies described below and this website

These providers may process data on servers in the United States and other countries. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights and our players.

Accounts, Facebook data and profile photos

Catch Master can be played as a guest. You can also connect Facebook, Sign in with Apple (iOS) or Sign in with Google (Android) to save your harbor and play with friends. This section describes what each option adds to the information listed above.

  • Facebook Login: when you connect Facebook, we receive your public profile (name, profile picture and the app-scoped ID Facebook assigns to Catch Master), your email address, and the list of your Facebook friends who also use Catch Master. Facebook shares only friends who have connected Catch Master themselves.
  • How we use Facebook data: to sign you in and restore your harbor on a new device, to find your friends who play and add them to your crew, and to show your first name and profile photo to your Facebook friends who also play, in places such as the crew list, attacks, raids, gifts, teams and tournaments. You see their first names and photos in the same way. Players who are not your Facebook friends see only your captain name and painted portrait. We keep your email on our servers to help you with your account.
  • Stored profile photo: we copy your own Facebook profile photo (a small 200x200 picture) to our content delivery network and serve it from there, at an address that contains nothing about you. We refresh the copy when you log in, so a change on Facebook reaches the game. The game hands this address only to your mutual Facebook friends who play.
  • Sign in with Apple: we receive only the identifier Apple assigns to your Apple Account for Catch Master. The game requests no name and no email from Apple. We use the identifier to sign you in and restore your harbor.
  • Sign in with Google (Android): when you sign in with Google, the game asks Google for the basic sign-in permissions (your Google account identifier, name and email address), and Google shows you what it shares before you agree. Our game servers (Microsoft Azure PlayFab) receive the identifier, plus your name and email when you grant them, and keep them with your game account. We use them to link your harbor to your Google account and restore it on a new device. You can remove Catch Master's access in your Google Account (Security, Your connections to third-party apps and services), which stops new sign-ins with Google. To delete the stored Google identifier, name and email, request account deletion as described on the account deletion page.
  • Gameplay and purchase data: your captain name, harbor progress, coins, spins, cards, pets, crew and the results of raids and attacks are stored on our game servers (Microsoft Azure PlayFab). Purchases are validated through RevenueCat and the App Store or Google Play.
  • Reports and blocks: if you report or block another player, we store your player ID, their player ID, the reason you chose and the time, to review the report and keep blocked players apart. Captain and team names pass an automatic filter before other players see them. These records are deleted with your account.
  • Push notifications: when you allow notifications, your device gives the game a push token from Apple Push Notification service (iOS) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android). We store the token with your game account on Microsoft Azure PlayFab and use it only to send game notifications, such as a reward that is ready or a raid on your harbor. Turn notifications off in the game's Settings or in your device settings. The token is deleted with your account.
  • Crash and diagnostics reporting: Catch Master sends crash reports and error reports to Sentry so we can find and fix bugs. A report contains the crash log or error, the device model, operating system version, app version, the harbor you were on, the names of the last game events before the problem, and the random install identifier the game creates on first launch. Our game servers also use that identifier to recognise your game account. Reports carry no names, email addresses, photos, Facebook data or screenshots.

Analytics, measurement and consent

  • Game analytics: we measure how Catch Master is played with PostHog, our product analytics service. It receives game events (such as sessions, spins, harbor progress, store visits and purchases), device and app information (device model, operating system, app version and language), the random install identifier and, once you are signed in, your player ID.
  • Measurement partners, Google Analytics for Firebase and Layers: they receive the same game events, including purchase amounts and currency, the same device and app information, an app instance identifier each of them creates for your installation, your player ID once you are signed in and, where you have agreed as described below, your device's advertising identifier (the IDFA on iOS, the advertising ID on Android). On iOS, Layers also receives the identifier for vendors (IDFV) when you have agreed to advertising measurement. Google and Layers each derive a coarse location (country, region or city) from your IP address; the game itself reads no location. We use them to understand how players stay and spend and to measure which advertising brings players to the game.
  • Meta app events: Catch Master sends app events to Meta (such as installs, app launches, tutorial completion, harbor milestones and purchases) so we can measure our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Your Facebook name and photo are never sent to any analytics service.
  • Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland: when you play from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Catch Master shows Google's consent form when it starts for the first time. Until you answer, and for any purpose you decline, Meta receives no app events and no advertising identifier, Google Analytics for Firebase and Layers receive no advertising identifier and no advertising signals, Layers receives no analytics, and Google Analytics for Firebase stores and reads no analytics identifier on your device. To change your choices at any time, open the game's Settings and tap Privacy choices. PostHog game analytics and Sentry crash reports run for every player, on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving the game.
  • App Tracking Transparency (iOS): Catch Master asks once for permission to track, when you first tap to play, or at the start of a later session when it could not ask then. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it asks only after you have agreed to advertising measurement in the consent form. Your IDFA reaches Meta, Google Analytics for Firebase and Layers only if you allow tracking. You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
  • Opting out of measurement: on iOS, turn off tracking for Catch Master (or Allow Apps to Request to Track) in Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking. On Android, delete or reset your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings, Google or Privacy, Ads), which stops it going to Meta, Google and Layers. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, use Settings, Privacy choices in the game. To have the analytics data linked to your player ID deleted, request account deletion as described on the account deletion page.
  • Ads: Catch Master shows no in-game advertising.
  • This website: playcatchmaster.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising code. Cloudflare, which hosts it, processes your IP address and the details of each request to deliver pages and protect the site.

Retention and deletion of Facebook data

  • We keep your first name, photo copy and friend list while your account stays connected to Facebook. Signing out keeps them with your account, so your harbor and crew are there when you come back.
  • Disconnect Facebook in the game's Settings to delete your Facebook link, first name, email, friend list and stored photo from our servers at once. From that moment no one sees your first name or photo, and the photo leaves our content delivery network within an hour.
  • Remove Catch Master in your Facebook settings (Settings & privacy, Apps and websites) and the game deletes the same data as soon as Facebook reports the removal, the next time the game contacts Facebook.
  • Full account deletion: email support@appmachina.com with "Catch Master" and your captain name or player ID. We delete your game account, your Facebook data and the stored photo within 30 days and confirm by email. This is also how to request deletion of your Facebook data under Meta's data deletion requirements. The steps, and what we delete and keep, are on the account deletion page.

Age requirements

Catch Master is intended for adults aged 18 or older. It offers no real-money gambling and no opportunity to win money or anything of real-world value; coins, spins and cards are virtual items with no cash value. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

  • Access and deletion: email support@appmachina.com with "Catch Master" and, when you have them, your captain name or player ID. We help you identify the game account, delete it and the data linked to it within 30 days, and confirm by email.
  • Advertising choices: use the consent form the game shows where the law requires one, and your device's advertising settings. Players in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland can reopen the consent form at any time from Settings, Privacy choices.
  • Notifications: turn them off in the game or in your device settings at any time.

Depending on where you live (for example the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Mexico or Brazil), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We honour these requests at the address below.

California privacy rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to delete it, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to equal service when you exercise these rights. To exercise them, contact us at support@appmachina.com.

Data retention and security

We keep game accounts while they are active and delete or anonymise them after 24 months of inactivity or on request. Analytics and diagnostic data are kept for up to 24 months. We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration or destruction.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
